About Our Club

On this home page, we'll introduce our club and give some examples of the types of activities we're involved in. For example:

The Milwaukee Waukesha Beekeeping Association (MWBA) holds monthly meetings to discuss the state of beekeeping, current events, and honey production. These meetings draw on the experience and knowledge of it's members - many who have been beekeepings for many years - with individual beekeeping experience of up to 89 years. The association members keep bees as a hobby, as a sideline business or as a fulltime job.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the MWBA is to:
  • Promote fellowship and networking of beekeepers.
  • Promote beekeeping, and to assist new beekeepers.
  • Share beekeeping knowledge and skills through mentoring.
  • Promote the use and benefits of local honey and hive products.
CLUB BEE YARD
The club operates an independent bee yard with up to 10 hives. This used for practice, research, demonstration, and to enjoy the pleasures of beekeeping. The yard provides hands-on experience and demonstrations for new beekeepers, a valuable asset to those new to the field.
